Last Saturday my husband prepared home made Siomai.

Here is his Siomai recipe:


1/4 ground pork

1 piece carrot

1 piece Singkamas (turnips)

1 clove of garlic and 1 piece onion

salt to taste

seasoning mix (optional)

siomai wrapper


1 piece egg


Cut the carrot, turnip, garlic and onion into small pieces and mix them together. Then add the ground pork, cornstarch and egg. After mixing all the ingredients together wrapped individually in siomai wrappers.

Then steam the siomai for 1/2 hour or more.

Then it’s ready to serve! You can serve it with soy sauce, fried garlic and calamansi.
